As we continue to evolve and drive continuous improvement to better position ourselves for success, we look at opportunities to align our entire organization for speed of decision making, accuracy and seamless execution to better support our customers.
With this goal in mind we are excited to announce some organizational moves within the Sales team.
We are pleased to announce the promotions of Michelle Clerk to Director of Sales – Marriott Brands and Walter Rice to Director of Sales – Marriott Brands and Host Hotels & Resorts.
Michelle brings over 25 years’ experience in customer facing roles throughout Kimball International. Her experience in customer service, quality, product development and most recently as Project Team Manager, has given her a solid background to position her well for this next step. Marriott is our number one account and with their acquisition of Starwood we need to ensure that we have the proper support. With Michelle’s established and well-respected relationship with the Marriott brand, this new role will be a smooth transition.
Walter brings 35 years’ experience within the Kimball Family. Walter has worked on a wide range of products and custom projects within Kimball Hospitality and will be joining the Sales Team to bring additional focus to Marriott Brands and Host Hotels & Resorts. His product development expertise and manufacturing experience are invaluable assets in this role.
When asked about the promotions, Mr. Charles Bastien responded, “I have 100% confidence in the Walter/Michelle team. Marriott has acquired Starwood and this combination represents a tremendous opportunity for our future. With the experience that each brings to the group, this combination, Walter and Michelle, will take us to the next level.”
