The vision for The Nobleman Hotel was to honor the building’s origins as a 1912 firehouse while creating a destination that reflects the energy of Fort Worth’s Near Southside district. The design thoughtfully preserves the firehouse’s character— paint-splattered brick, restored windows, and remnants of the original staircase and firepole are all integrated seamlessly with new construction. Together, the guestrooms and public spaces strike a balance between heritage and innovation, celebrating Fort Worth’s layered identity with approachable comfort, community spirit, and a distinctly modern hospitality experience.
The furniture reflects Fort Worth’s western heritage and the firehouse’s history through contemporary, functional design. Curves inspired by cowboy hats and buckles, brass accents referencing firehose connections, and textured textiles create pieces that feel deliberate and connected to the local culture. Materials of warm leathers and refined woods were chosen for their tactile richness, durability and craftmanship. An earthy neutral, warm rust, deep charcoal and soft cream color pallet draw from the building and city’s historic architecture. Careful attention to detail throughout the furniture development process pushed the boundaries of design, with integrated lighting and smart wire management delivering the cleanest aesthetic. Custom-developed Quartz and hardware elevated the overall design and showcases Kimball Hospitality’s ability to merge innovation with craftmanship.
Sustainability and longevity were also priorities. Carpets that safely break down in landfills, locally sourced elements, and responsible vendor partnerships ensure that every choice balances environmental responsibility with guest comfort and long-term performance.
Every detail was designed with the guest’s experience in mind. Layouts consider comfort and circulation for intuitive use, beds feature gentle angles, lounge chairs balance relaxation and work needs, and integrated LED lighting provides both ambiance and functionality. Accessibility was incorporated from the beginning, with adjustments such as bed bases for portable lifts, increased clearance for wheelchair access, angled vanity panels, and lower nightstands—maintaining aesthetic integrity while ensuring a seamless and inclusive stay for all guests.
The Nobleman Hotel blends firehouse heritage with modern design, creating a guest experience that is comfortable and memorable. Thoughtful materials and attention to detail bring Fort Worth’s history and spirit to life in every space.
